& time stood still
to listen to the sound
of silence~
a trillion moments 
found in one sound
beginnings & endings
compounded into one
breath of air~
as thought they were all there
then time stood still
to observe the moment of one
a breath of air
& all were gone~
& gasping for time
to ponder & compare
lives lived, friends known
love shared~
caught in suspense
time quivered
in poignant capture~
a breath of air..
& was gone~
